WHAT IS LIBBY?
For reading digital books from the library’s OverDrive collection, use the Libby reading app. It has the same selection of books as the OverDrive app; it’s simply a different way to access the same digital library collection. A quick and enjoyable online browsing experience is provided by Libby.
While OverDrive is developing an app for Kindle Fire/HD devices, Libby is compatible with Android and iOS devices. If all you want to do is download a book on your iOS or Android phone or tablet, Libby is fantastic.
The “classic” app OverDrive works with more devices, including the Kindle Fire, Macs, PCs, and Windows mobile phones. Additionally, it enables computer-to-MP3 device transmission.
Since Libby is still in its infancy, it lacks several of the capabilities that the OverDrive app offers, such the ability to suggest books for purchase or comprehensive accessibility features. These will soon be added to Libby.
